About LBP

Living Blues Project
Real joyful music! The main goal of the LBP (Living Blues Project), founded in 2008, is to pay tribute to the most prominent and particular representers of the blues genre. The repertoire is pretty diversified; beside blues evergreens other related genres, such as  blues- and jazz rock, soul, pop and funky play an important part. The band performance wishes to evoke a kind of "journey in time", from the twenties, through the period of beat-rock in the sixties and seventies, to recent days.

The band first performed in 2009. They have already played live at Budapest second biggest hall, Syma Sport- and Event Centre, and in several popular and recognized places, clubs and festivals in Budapest and in Hungary as well.

Many well-known Hungarian blues musicians participated as guests at their concerts, for instance: Tibor Tátrai (guitar), Mátyás Pribojszki (harmonica), Ferenc Szász Jr. (guitar), Zsolt Benkő (guitar), Tamás Petendi (guitar), Béla Rák Jr. (guitar), Dóra Dobozy (vocal), Ádám Bornemissza (bass) and Viktória Kudrat Singh (vocal).

Band members:

Gábor R. Kovács / vocal, harmonica
Csaba Draskóczy / guitar
András (Stone) Kőmíves / guitar
Tamás Borbély / bass
Tamás Németh / drums and percussion
